=SPACE is a premium co-working space for intellectuals, techies and entrepreneurs. They provide resources for startups, coaching for tech companies and a wealth of intellectuals to share strategies and bounce off ideas.

The next wave in enterprises will be born within our walls.

It's working in a dynamic SPACE filled with entrepreneurs pushing the bar, feeding off each other and being vibrant innovators.

We love meeting spaces that also have incubator programs and =SPACE is an example of how important it is for every coworking space to implement this as well. The potential revenue could be something worth considering if one of your members hits one out of the park.

CEO Akosua Ayim has been working with =SPACE and in the co-working industry for just over 2 years. And for her, trying to create a world where betting on women, people of color and the LGBTQ+ community isn't an anomaly, but the norm. Our work is centered on providing resources and access to our community in order to create opportunities. We want to increase the rate at which our community members are able to scale up their business. =SPACE is more than a shared office space, it's a place where you can find the tools you need to grow your start-up through networking, programming, culture and more.

-Where are you today in life/business and where do you want to be?

Akosua Ayim: Today I'm building. Every day is an adventure because I have no idea what could happen next. This is grind time and I'm loving it but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was tired. Where I want to be...still building. There's always something next in my mind, something more we can do to build a more equitable world. Eventually, I want to be in a place where I'm able to be more of a financial resource to those who need it, for example by creating an incubator or becoming an investor myself.

-What seems to be the business problem or challenges that you have today? what keeps you awake at night?

Akosua Ayim: Even in 2019, people still doubt the economic power of marginalized communities. It can be an uphill battle - whether it's financing/ or bringing a product to market - to get the support you need. I'm interested in discovering and implementing sustainable and scalable solutions to this issue to even out the playing field.

"We believe that access + resources = space & opportunities"

What makes you pick your brand name?

Akosua Ayim: We named our co-working space =SPACE because we wanted to create a home base where everyone knows they're welcome. We saw a problem where our community members felt they didn't have a space that was culturally relevant to them - we do everything in our power to make sure =SPACE fills that void.

We LOVE that name! Very Original and it really delivers the message. EQUAL

Any last comments?

Akosua Ayim: We were recently featured by a dope platform called The Mogul Millennial and I think they really captured who we are and what we do. The real rap raw is that =SPACE is a co-working space founding for us and by us. We want you to come in and know that you matter, your ideas matter and your business matters. Beyond that, this is a space that takes that belief and turns it into action so we can all grow, and ultimately, win. http://www.themogulmillennial.com/for-us-by-us-coworking-spaces-designed-with-us-in-mind/
