INTERVIEW WITH THE FARM SOHO!
We interviewed Lucas Seyhun, CEO of The Farm Soho.
The Farm Soho is one of the top spaces in NYC where they also offer incubator programs.
A business model we love to talk about!
Lucas has been in the industry since 2014 and has never been more convicted to this industry in spite of the recent pandemic. NYC has been one of the epicenters of the virus and coworking spaces are taking a big hit.
-What made you pick your brand name?
We wanted to give the notion to our clients that we can grow their businesses in a nurturing environment.
-What motivates you to get up and continue what you do today?
We would like to feel that we have a mission to help individuals to make their best creative work through the influence of their office environment.
-What seems to be the business problem or challenges that you have today? What keeps you awake at night?
That is quite simple to answer these days. We have yet to observe how the world is moving as we are getting back to normal.
-How are your space and your members coping with this unprecedented situation?
We have seen a 50% drop in revenue.
Understandable due to the health and safety restrictions imposed by the government.
We are convinced that once this is over, a lot more people will join coworking spaces.
-Which actions did you do in order to remodel and prepare your space in order to keep your tenants and staff healthy?
Plexiglass separators, CDC grade disinfection schedules, better airflow, temperature gauging cameras.
-How do your members find you today?
Word of mouth and SEO.
Our calculations say that Word of mouth accounts for 70% of new members.
Very important to maintain a healthy and positive relationship with your current tenants.
After all, they are the best reference for new members.
-How do you see the future? Give us your projection/analysis
Short term services offices for clients who have more than 25 team members.
Not a bad approach. For now, we advise thinking short-term.
